Outward Technologies conducted a series of physical experiments which showed the feasibility of constructing lunar launch and landing pads from lunar regolith feedstocks via Selective Solar Melting (SSM) using Concentrated Solar Energy (CSE) as the heat source to fully
melt and fuse lunar regolith into a consolidated structure.
